U2's Bono, Rainwater Harvesting

This was a project that was started late 2009, and has been completed and commissioned in Septemeber 2010. The rainwater system installed here is supplying the toilet system, and also outdoor use in this large family home. From the storage tank in the grounds, the water is pumped into a reservoir in the basement, where it is treated with UV, before being boosted via 2 pumps around the home. Due to space issues the collection tank is only 6000litres, but as the roof collection is large this will be enough to meet the needs in the house. There are twin booster pumps in the rainwater tank, as well as mains backup and a custom designed control system, whcih is connected to the building management system. This is one of the more high profile Rainwater Systems we have done, and as you can tell from the pictures the quality of work is very high
