Rainwater Harvesting

Here at Grant Water we have many years’ experience in Rainwater Harvesting, having installed systems around Ireland, from small applications for gardening, to large full treatment systems for nursing homes. Rainwater is very useful in the commercial sector where water charges are already very high, using the rainwater can reduce dependence on mains water. Often rainwater is used for flushing toilets, as there is no need to be using treated water, but it is also possible to treat the rainwater for use all over the house.

Rainwater is collected into a storage tank, which is normally buried in the ground, from here the water is pumped into the house. If a grey water system is used the water can be pumped straight to the toilets, otherwise the water is pumped though a treatment system before being distributed throughout the house.

Rainwater for Drinking

We are proud to be the only company Ireland to provide a full drinking water system for rainwater. This makes retrofitting a rainwater harvester much simpler, and the benefits or having rainwater greater. The Rainsafe™ unit uses the latest ozone technology to treat the rainwater to potable standards, including a storage tank, mains top up and booster pump in a compact and easy to install package.
How to choose a rainwater harvesting system for you.

There are many choices to be made when installing a rainwater unit, including the size of tank, and what material the tank is made from. Also you have to decide whether you want a grey water system, lightly treated for showering or 100% treatment.
